About

The Century League of Morrilton, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is a women’s organization located in Morrilton, Arkansas, dedicated to enhancing the lives of others through community improvement and volunteer service. 

Since its creation in 1982, the club's mission has been to promote community development and improvement; to be ready to act upon matters concerning local, state, and national welfare; to help in assessing the needs of the community and gathering people and resources to meet those needs; and to aid in the fellowship among residents of Conway County, Arkansas.

The Century League strives to spend its funds on local projects to improve the community, like sending students to Girls State, purchasing animals for children through the Junior Livestock Auction at the Conway County Fair, providing meals for needy families at Thanksgiving through the Department of Human Services, purchasing Christmas gifts for local children in need through a partnership with Counseling Associates, establishing a scholarship endowment at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton, and others.  The club contributes thousands of dollars to these projects each year. 

Members of the club also volunteer their time and resources to give back to their community in ways that monetary donations cannot.  These contributions include manual labor and collection of items for local programs such as the Conway County Hometown Health Coalition's Project Backpack, a hunger-relief effort for children at area schools; the Dictionary Project, a nationwide effort to put dictionaries in the hands of every third-grade student; work on improvements to the playground at Kids First in Morrilton, a facility that serves children with special healthcare needs ranging in age from six weeks to five years; food donations and managing collection sites for the Conway County Care Center's annual Harvest of Hope Food Drive; blankets, clothing, and other items for shelters for women and children who have fallen victim to abuse; participation in the planning and implementation of the Morrilton Rubbish Run; and other projects as needed.
